See my profile, and many CJ 5/7 questions.

Rebuilt Right?! I had 1 304 back in 1982, too much power/hard to reach maintenence for lil ole Jeep.

258 is the best match for all my Babies since.

Did we install the Correct Cam? Not the one ground for the 1 barrel carb as in 1977/ 78, on back?

How about Timing and importantly MR. CARBURATOR

Are you in one of those smog testing zones?

If you want to change that "stepper motor" carb, got 2 good choices for you.

Are we running stock fuel pump, correct fuel delivery system? 3 t.i.t. Fuel Filter w/ return back to the tank? You may be able to see the 3 lines on my filter, Pic below (outlets on top of each other, as per AMC service manual)

Please reply back with any Modifications that have been done, that might affect engine (pos or neg)

I can and will assist you in everything, you need to do to improve your Baby. From vacuum lines to fuel system, I KNOW CJs

Would also like to know, MANUAL, which one?---- "skill level" and "tool level" and "know how" Available ON YOUR END of this "cyber line"

Please reply back with some workable answers, AND WE WILL GET STARTED.

Love, Turddog
