Sometimes my dash gauges don’t work when I start the car. Blinkers work, and car runs fine, but nothing in the gauges. Other times, only the speedometer doesn’t work. Other times gauges work but reading low and out of range (in spite of vehicle running fine).

Have had the dash cluster refurbished, and it is still happening.

Sometimes everything works just fine.

Hello,

This sounds to me like this could be a problem with the instrument cluster's ground. A lot of the time people concentrate on the power side of an electrical circuit and forget that the negative, or ground, side of the circuit is just as important. 75% of all vehicle electrical problems are ground related. To check the ground make sure that it is corrosion free, clean, tight, and making good metal to metal contact. I have included in the diagrams down below the wiring diagram for your vehicle's instrument cluster as well as a diagram showing where ground 102 is located. This is the ground for your vehicle's instrument cluster. Get back to us with what you are able to find out. If the ground checks out we will have specific instructions for how to test the wire connecting the instrument panel to the ground.

Thanks,
Alex
