You have a PassLock anti-theft system. It reads a small piece that is attached to the key cylinder to shut off the system when it is detected. When you swapped the cylinders you put in a part that is not recognized as a valid cylinder by the system. As you forcibly removed the old lock you may have also damaged the sensor mounted inside the ignition switch housing itself as well. You will need to use a dealer level scan tool to do two things, one will be to test the system and see if it is seeing the new cylinder at all and if it is then you can program it to operate with your anti-theft. If it doesn't read the "wrong" cylinder then you will also need to replace the sensor and then program it all into the system.

There is also the 30 minute relearn process, however I've found it to be hit or miss as to working, and if the sensor is also damaged it will not work.

However to try it -
Start with the key off. Turn the key to start, Don't start the engine, just let the starter engage and release the key, security light will be on. Leave the key in the on/run position. After about 10 minutes the light should go off. Turn the key off. Now repeat those steps 2 more times for a total of three cycles. At the end of the third cycle, turn the key off, cross your fingers and try to start the engine. If the engine starts and continues to run, you should be good to go.

Now if you try the first time and the light doesn't go out after the 10 minutes, you will need the dealers scan tool to test the system.
