I need my truck to stay running

Somebody put water in my gas tank and I figured it out. I used the Heet water removal and the truck stayed cranked for a minute. Now all it does is keeps shutting off and I have to keep getting a boost. I just do not know. My truck was running perfectly fine at first before the water incident? An 8 oz bottle of water was put into my gas tank.

Hey ELBONY,

You must have the tank removed and drained out to not cause an damage to the pump and injectors.

Here is a guide that will help you get the problem fixed.

So there is no problem with the battery? And that is why it is not staying cranked, because it needs to be drained and do really have to have a new fuel pump and filter?

The engine will not run on water, the battery could be weak here is a test for the battery.

If you drain the water the pump should still be good.

So have you Ken ever had a question like mine? And is this a really major problem that I cannot fix? Will water make me lose my truck?

It happens more than you think, you can fix it with no worries. Check the battery and get a new one if needed then drop the tank and drain it out you will be okay.

Hi Elbony,

I don't you have points but a new fuel pump would be a good idea.

Let me know how it goes.

Ok Ken do u think a weak battery will cause thise problems or do u think it's the vacuum leaks. Im so tired of playing the guessing game on this. Will the battery make the truck shut out like that and make me have to get a boost

Yes the truck must have a good battery to run correctly.

Ok Ken what if he put the same bad gas that he drained back into the tank. He believes if he drained it good he could reuse the same gas even tho he mixed high octane on top of the gas. So when he got a boost jest now it crunk and slowly put putted out like it did before.
