I’m having basically the same issue with my 15’ Fiesta se. I was having the clicking sound a few months ago but it stopped. Now I only have heat. It makes no difference what temperature I set the climate control to it blows hot air.

Please include your vehicle information and if you have the manual heater controls (turn a dial for temp) or the automatic (set a desired temp and it does the rest) system.
In both cases the temperature control actuator is between the firewall and heater core so the dash has to be removed the cooling system drained and the A/C recovered then the HVAC case removed to get to it.
