I am getting this knocking sound and realized that it is the HVAC door actuator. I am looking for a diagram that shows the location of the actuator so I can replace it. Any help would be amazing.

That sounds like the recirculation actuator turn the recirculation on and off and see if the noise changes?

I tried that this morning. I turned it off for 5 minutes and turned it back on and it continues to make the same knocking sound.

Have you tried the other controls to see if the noise changes temp control or where the air flow goes?

The only time it will start making noise is when I turn on the car, switch the AC on and off, when I switch to max AC

It's the one located directly behind the glove box. I can look underneath and see it jumping when it makes the noise

I checked to make sure it was properly secured and all the screws are tight. I think there's a gear on the inside of the actuator that is striped.

$38 with a lifetime warrantly. It didn't take me longer than 15 minutes to fix. I removed the glove box in one piece. It was fixed by clips. Then unscrewed the 2 screws and fastened the new one. Now it's working like a champ! Thanks guys for your help.
