Changed the distributor pack and that did not fix it. What else could it be?

Thanks

Hi,

In most cases, either the ignition spark has been lost or the engine isn't getting fuel. There are other things such as a broken timing belt or low compression.

Here is what I want you to do: See if the engine starts with starting fluid and then stalls. If that happens, we know it is fuel related. If there is no change, we need to check if the plugs are getting spark.

Here is a link that explains how to check for spark:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-for-ignition-spark

Try that and let me know the results. Also, if you could record it cranking and upload it for me to hear, I should be able to tell if it is a compression or timing issue.

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe
