2002 Honda Civic Loss of power

I was on the xway this morning going about 70 mph when I experienced a lost of power. The cel lit up. I moved to the slow lane and my speed dropped to about 40 mph. I coasted down a hill to the next exit and left the xway. I pulled into a parking lot turned off the engine for about 30 seconds and the re-started it. It ran fine the rest of the way to work, about 8 miles. The cel remained on. What would cause this type of problem? The fuel pump was replaced last week. Thanks.

Get a scan done to find out what is wrong.

Sorry it took so long to get back.

The 17th after work the car stated fine. About half way home the cel went out. No problem the next day. Didn't drive again til today the 23rd. No problem.

Any ideas on the original problem? Thanks.

Still the same request.

Get a scan done to find out. Without finding out the cause of the CEL, we need to post 1001 possibilities.
