On really cold mornings in chicago when temps are around 0 or below the car will just crank but not fire. Usually after letting it sit until around 930 am the car will finally start

Checked the coolant temperature sensor and fuel pressure.

Give me the type of Ignition and Fuel system you have?

How long is it cranking for? Do you notice a difference depending on the amount of fuel in the tank?

Reason I ask is because I have a `00 Civic LX (different model generation) and it tends to have a slower start (4-5 seconds of pressure on the starter on first start) when I only have 1/2 tank or less; when it's above that, it usually comes on it the first 2 seconds of pressure on the starter.

I also notice more "pep" and "pickup" when the car is over 1/2 a tank also.

Another thing I used to do when I owned a Jeep was to press on the accelerator twice quickly before starting. That seems to help on colder mornings and helps speed up the start.
