1998 Honda Civic Turning off

My son's 1998 Honda Civic will shut off after about 5 minutes of running and then won't turn over again. After about an hour we can get it to start again. We replaced the fuel pump. Don't know if this has anything to do with it but the reverse light on the right sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.

Check the fuel pressure if its within specs if okay test PGM-FI main relay and also the ignition switch-the ignition switches for these vehicles are not reliable
