I got my entire exhaust system replaced almost 3 years ago, and my car started getting loud about 6 months ago again. I took it into a shop and they said it was the tail pipe. Why is my muffler needing replaced already? I took it to another shop and they said the condenser is making too much moisture causing my exhaust system to rust out quickly. Is this what's wrong? What is the condenser? I plan on keeping this car til it dies, everything else runs great and I service it when necessary.

Hi taralee419,

Condenser is the radiator for the AC system and I don't see any connection between it and the exhaust rusting.

If the car is parked more often than driven, expect the exhaust tail section to give way faster than normal. Condensation in the silencer would cause the rusting.
