1990 Honda Civic 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I was driving my car down the road and as I came 2 a stop sign I put my foot on the gas pedal and the car wouldn't move. I pulled over shut the car off and tried to start the car and my engine would not crank over. What is the problem?

Ok first I want you to check the transmission fluid and fill if necessary. Then your gonna have to check for fuel and spark so that we can know which direction to go
