I have a 1988 honda accord lxi. It has about 15000 miles on it. My car has water coming inside the trunk area and the sunroof area. My question is what do I need to get done to it to repair it? And, can you tell me a cheap auto repair shop here in san francisco because the sf honda wants 300 dollars just for diagnosis? Also I need some body work done, such as, the hood will not close properly and the side panels on the outside of the doors need to be replaced.

Unless this car with only 15000 miles has been kept in a garage there can be some serious questions about the area you live in that would allow a car with this low mileage to become so in need of body work. Ok, I bet it has more mileage than that, so lets deal with this. Are you experiencing any rust around the trunk or sunroof area? If not, go to a body shop and order the gaskets for the trunk and the sunroof. The doors and a cheap body shop in the SF area I can not help you with. I am from the midwest. The hood is something that I would suggest you check to see if the cable is properly releasing and allowing the latch assembly to completely release. Follow the cable at the latch and have someone pull the release to watch if its travel is completed. Does the hood release feel a little different than it used to or different than say another car similar to yours?

The sun roof and hatch back have drain holes in them if these holes become pluged the water will drain into the car, so unplugg those holes  Good Luck.
