1998 Honda Accord my car shuts itself off in turns itself o

About a year ago I noticed that my car would shut itself off and then turn itself on if I was in gear, if not in gear it just dies no stalling just dead, but then it will turn on again. I noticed this happens when its been rainy. Yesterday I was leaving work when my car was dead no juice, so I had it jumped 3 minutes dawn the road it died in the middle of the street I had it jumped again and let it run for half hour before I drove home. About six times on my 10 mile journey I noticed the loss of power but because I was in gear it kicked on again any ideas?

Hi snoopie1,

If the dashlighst does not flash when engine stalled, it could be a failing ignition switch.

Since rain has an effect, I would suggest checking the connections near the underhood fuse box, battery terminals connections and grounds.
