1998 Honda Accord my car cuts off while driving

When I am driving, my car sometimes cuts off. Then I have to coast to a stop, and try to start it. When I try to start it, it is very hard to get it out of PARK. Yesterday I got it started, only to have it cut off again after going 1/2 a block. I was finally able to get it going and keep it going. This started happening sporadically in the hot weather. The first time it happened, the A/C was on, but the last two times it has happened, the A/C wasn't on. Also, each time this happened the car had parked for several hours in a hot parking lot. I don't know if that had anything to do with it.

I would check out the main relay and ignition switch.

Thank you for your help. I subsequently found out this problem with Accords is under a recall. So I will be taking it to the Honda dealer for repair.

Did u find out at the problem was. I just took mine to the dealership and they old me it is the egr ports that need cleaning
