Engine shuts off while driving

I was driving my car down the road going about 65mph when my car just shut itself off. I pulled to the side of the road and it started right back up with no problems. What could casue the car just to shut off without warning. No dash lights came on. No service lights or anything.

There are dozens of possible causes. The way it has to be approached is you have to somehow determine which function drops out first at the moment the car stalls, whether it be spark, injector pulse or fuel pressure and that will narrow down the possibilities. This is not an easy thing to do even for a tech. You have to be able to reproduce the problem to test it.
