For about 6 months my Honda has been stopping on me. I can be driving the car and for no apparent reason the car will stop. At first this would occur few & far between and when it happened, the electrical indicators on the dash (key switch, oil, transmission, etc.) Would light up across the dash. Now, when this occurs I've notice just the green key indicator blinking on the dash. And sometimes this green key indicator will blink on the dash once or twice, stop & the car continues for a few more miles. The car stopping is more frequent now. My hubby has noticed that if he hold the key just slightly tilted forward in the ignition switch when driving that the car does not stop. It is almost like the fit of the key over time has loosen & not quite keeping contact with some starting component. But we are confused as to what? Have you heard of anything like this happening?

Hi Eldridgehy,

I believe you need to replace the ignition switch. The contacts are worn and providing poor contact which will intermittently result in current supply being cut off.
