Brakes problem
1992 Honda Accord 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I need to change the front brake rotors. What is the size of the main large axle nut (approx 1 1/2") and the four bolts that attach the lug studs to the rotor. 1/2' is too small 9/16 is too big, 1/2" is too small 9/16" seems to be too big. Haynes book does not specify. Nobody seems to sell a 17/32" socket.

Hi rsmeltzer,

Those are metric sizes and the CV shaft central nut are either 32 or 36 mm. There are 2 different sizes. Measuring across the hexagon would get you the correct size.

The rotor holding bolts are 14 mm.
