Hi Toyotabuster,

Does the dash indicator lights comes on when the engine stalled or while driving?

Get the charging rate tested, there is a possibility the replaced alternator is bad if it is a rebuilt unit.

Since the battery light is staying on, you ought to get the charging rate tested.

The replaced alternator could be bad. Speedometer not working could be due to a faulty Vehicle Speed Sensor.

The revving out at 3500 rpm could be due to some sensors not working correctly and it could be electrical. I would suggest getting the charging problem resolved first.
