Heater core replacement

I need to replace it I have half my dash apart already it does not seem I am close. I am thinking of closing it up and just not use it in the winter.

The dash needs to be removed as a complete unit, not disassemble it. This is not an easy job by any means, even for a professional. It is a lot harder if it has AC.
