Heater problem
1995 Ford Thunderbird 4 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 68000 miles

our heater core went out. THe windows are steaming up and water is leaking. We can not afford $500 repair. Is there a temporary fix for this and how can we do it?

Thank you

Well if you look under the hood on the passenger side their should be two pipes coming out of the wall from behind the dashboard inside the car, these are the pipes that lead from the heater core to the radiator. If you disconnect the hoses that run from the two pipes to the radiator and connect a small pipe to the two hoses and putting tightners on the hoses to secure the fluid, you can bypass the heater core this way, but ofcourse you won't have any heat but this should work.

If you have any questions please feel free to let me no.
