The fuel pump relay on our 96 GMC Sierra 4x4, 350, 5.0L, had been loosing contact. We tightened up the fuse box but that didn't work. We could get it working if we wiggled the switch or pushed it down hard. Then all of a sudden nothing would work, we removed the fuse box, to expose the wires and found that there is a RED wire in the center of the top row of wires connected to the Fuel Pump Relay Switch that was not connected to anything. We have no idea where it goes and hope there is someone out there that knows what I am talking about and that may be able to help me. Thank You Mona

The red color denotes HOT, comming from power distribution, You will need to find the other end and reconnect! If worse comes to worse hook it up to another red hot wire, this supplies power to the relay!
