Hello,

There could be a number of reasons why the engine is hard to start.
It could be due to a weak fuel pump, dirty throttle bore, torn intake boot, worn out spark plugs, low cylinder compression etc.

The best course of action would be to take a look at each item and take necessary action. Like cleaning the throttle body, replacing spark plugs, checking the compression, and testing the fuel pressure.

Here is a helpful guide:

If you are only having this issue when the vehicle sits for a long time, it could be due to a fuel issue. Like a malfunctioning pressure regulator not working properly when cold.

Checking the fuel pressure when the engine is cold might provide you with an answer.
This vehicle should have 58-64 PSI of fuel pressure with the key on and engine off.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
