1999 GMC C2500 air conditioning

About 2 months ago I had my air conditiong unit charged at a local quick lube it was ok but but I wanted to ensure that the system was fully charged. A few days ago it was fine but when I used my truck today all it did was blow out hot air. What could the problem be.

When you switch the AC button ON does the compresser kick in?

I just checked the system the compressor does come on however the clutch itself is moving and stopping every few seconds

What is the pressure inside of the system? On the low side and the high side. Does the compresser make a knocking sound?
