Gear malfunction

My car developed a gear engagement malfunction in which the transmission of gears from 1 to 2 does not effect nor the reverse gear unless you stop and start the car a fresh. After engaging gear number 2 the vehicle moves on smoothly. Trouble starts again when you slow down and the gears turn back to 1 either in traffic or when one stops. It does not pick up and raves on one gear number 1 until you stop the engine and starts all over again. There is also warning of high temperatures in the gear box when you keep driving.

Hello,

It sounds like you have a turbine sensor that is going out in the transmission. To be sure lets run the codes to see what comes up. here is a guide:

Thanks Ken for the prompt response. We did run the codes and DTC gave us the following codes P0292 and P1820. Later we get P1820, P2711 and P1707. Kindly advice

The P1820 is the clue with the pressure solenoid failure which is in the valve body which you might need to replace as a unit. Here are instructions and diagrams to help you fix the problem below. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.
