I am trying to change my vehicle's fuel pump?

I am trying to change my vehicle's fuel pump from a 1995 Dodge Dakota fuel pump and it's a 6 prong adapter going to a 5 prong adapter. Would it work?

Good afternoon,

No, it will not work. You need the correct fuel pump that will attach correctly. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what happens.
