Replaced fuel pump, relay and new filter. Also, I checked the fuse and it’s good but not getting any fuel to the TBI. Does not make a sound also when I turn the key on. How do I send power to the fuel pump through the relay to make sure that it isn’t a faulty part? Also, I noticed when I was cleaning up after replacing the fuel pump that the ground wire connection had broken. Dumb question but can that ground keep the pump from running? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Yes, the ground is the likely problem. If that doesn't take care of the problem, remove the fuel pump relay. Each pin should be numbered on the relay. To check if the pump works, jump pins 30 and 87. That should power the pump.

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions. Also, if the ground for the pump is damaged, the power circuit can't be completed, and the pump won't run.

Take care,

Joe
