What turns on the relay for the fuel pump?

The computer called PCM/VCM etc. When you turn key to On-do you hear the fuel pump?

No I don't hear the pump. I can jumper the hot lead to the pump lead on the relay plug and the pump works and unit runs. What closes the circuit to the relay coil?

What closes the circuit to the relay coil? The fuel pump relay control of the computer closes it thru pin 85 dark green/white to pin 86 black to ground. See below
