Vehicle left my son on side of road. Got it back to house and started troubleshooting. Sprayed ether in air cleaner box and fired up and then cut off. Thinking fuel pump, changed it, nothing! Changed fuel filter, nothing! Changed cam shaft position sensor, nothing! Checked all fuses, good! Swapped out relays, good! Stumped!

Good afternoon.

I attached a wire diagram for you to view. You will need a voltmeter or test light to do some checks. We are past the point of parts replacing and need to find the failure.

The first thing to do is verify the two fuses listed have power on both side of the fuses. After that, you need to go to the fuel pump relay and check for two powers with the key on.

Do those tests and lets see what you get as a result.

Hello Roy! Thanks for replying! The injector and fuel pump fuses are good and I have line voltage to the fuel pump but not to the Injector fuse line side even with the ignition On. I jumped out the 30 and 87 in the relay block but still no fuel to the rail. What a head scratcher.

Okay, was pin 30 hot with voltage?

Do you mean no power to the injectors with the key on?

Yes, neither side of Injector fuse slot was hot. 30 of the fuel pump relay was hot.

Okay, if you jumped 30 to 87 and no pump. Leave the jumper in and test for power at the fuel pump.

Check fuse 18 in the fuse box for power with the key on. The asd relay feeds this fuse.

Okay, but you need to check for power as well.

Under hood, #16-15A O2 sensor, #26-15A 4.0 transmission solenoid, #28-15A injectors. Under dash, #3-10A left high beam, #10-20A Adj pedal system, #14-10A left low beam, #15-10A right low beam, #16-10A right high beam, #31-10A starter relay.

Sounds like you have a failed fuse box. It is not delivering power to the fuses for the systems to work.

Those fuses are fed some from the battery and some from the ignition switch.

I pulled the fuse block under the hood and found nothing out of the ordinary. Pulled on some of the wiring and All felt secure so I reinstalled and tried starting, it started! I am putting new Injectors in because some of these are swollen probably from heat. I will let you know how that turns out after installation. This is a serious head scratcher! Thanks for helping!

Most likely a bad connection at the fuse block.

Hey Roy, per our prior exchange, I had fuses 16, 26 and 28 with no power on either side of the fuse and the fuses are good. Fuses 16 and 26 are associated with the Auto Shut Down Relay and 28 is with the transmission. I am starting to think the ECU has gone bad. What do you think? I inspected the fuse block top and bottom and all looks good physically. Terminations are good but there is just no power to those three fuses with or without the ignition on.

Power to the fuses is not the ECM. That does not feed the fuse block. Either the ignition switch or battery feeds the fuse box.

Hello Roy, I called a mechanic friend of mine to help in troubleshooting and found the cam position sensor was not getting 5 volts. I tapped into the crank position sensor 5 volts and that did the trick. Still do not know why the 5 volts was lost but did a harness visual inspection and found nothing out of the ordinary. Thanks for your help!

If you do not have 5 volts to the sensor you have a wiring harness issue. There is a splice in the harness that sends 5 volts to all the sensors from the PCM. This is a temporary repair only as you need to find the failed wire.

You still need to address the other issue as well.
