My shock absorber/spring(?) Would make a sound when I moved the steering wheel left/right, sort of like a popping as if it was popping in and out of place? Now it’s making a sound when I drive as well, although a bit of a different one, also a popping/slight banging? What could this be and how do I fix it? I’ve given it to a mechanic who fixed it, I got it back and maybe 3 weeks later it started up again. Could it be a bushing that’s now gone? I’ve attached a video of the sound it makes while I’m driving, near the end I reverse and turn the wheel And you can hear it making a slightly different sound to when I’m just driving.

Good morning,

I would replace the strut assemblies with the complete units.

Your issue is the spring is turning inside the strut instead of staying stationary.

I attached the struts for you from Rock Auto. They are easy to change and will take care of the issue.
