That one isn't that bad to get to, you need to remove the glove box, the lower isolator panel and then you can get to the actuator inside the glove box opening to the left side.

The heater in my jeep commander only blows cool air, it does not get hot?

Step 1 - A heater cannot operate unless the engine is full of coolant/antifreeze. If coolant level is low check the system for leaks.
