Hi,

I live in Mississippi; we had a cold front to come through and my freeze plugs popped out and coolant went everywhere. My husband replaced the ones he could access, we added coolant and noticed that there was still coolant leaking. My question is, is there a way to replace the other freeze plugs without having to remove engine?

Freeze plugs are rough because some are easy to get to while others not so much. I would raise the car up and use a flashlight to see what else is leaking and we can go from there on how to fix it. Please upload pictures or videos in your response of the problem so we can see what's going on. Here is a tool they make which can get into places most other tools can't:

Here is a link to the tool.

My husband raised the car and says that he thinks coolant is coming the freeze plugs that he can’t reach, and he thinks the transmission will have to get taken out.

Yep, sometimes they have freeze plugs on the rear of the block. But I would use a mirror on a stick to check the rear of the intake manifold because I have seen the gasket let go and cause a leak from there.
