2002 Ford Windstar pounding noise from dash board

Heavy pounding noise coming from inside dash board
sounds like someone pounding the dash board from inside

On alot of these the sway bar end links go bad and cause a banging noise that could be lisled into thinking its inside the dash. Check the front sway bar end links by prying the sway bar up and down and see if there is any movement in the end link or its quite possible the end link is broken.
