Hi, Our 1996 Ford Windstar has been running fine. Replaced the engine about 6 months ago, has maybe 10,000 miles on I guess. A mont ago went to start it and heard no fuel pump cut on. It sat for a few weeks, I added new fuel, fuel cleaner, checked the emergency shut off switch. Next morning, it started right up and ran for weeks. Now, it stopped again and don;t hear fuel pump cut on again. What to check first before replacing fuel pump? Isn;t there a module of some sort that might be causing this problem? Thank you.

Have someone lightly tap on bottom of tank while cranking the engine if it starts replace the fuel pump. Also replace the fuel filter. Sorry no module to replace. It goes form switch to EEC relay to Fuel pump relay to pump. Possible pump just keeps sticking(NOS) 8)
