Engine Mechanical problem
1995 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 250 km miles

I just purchased a 95 Taurus. The car starts fine in very cold temperatures (-20 Degrees Celsius and colder) Between -15 and 0 degrees it seems to flood. It turns over fine, but will not start. After plugging the car in for a few hours, (the block heater), it will start. I figure it is a sensor but which one? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hi:
To identify a sensor problem, take it to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer for codes. If there is a bad sensor, it should show up. Also, make sure the ground wire on the engine block is clean and tight.

Let me know what you find.

Joe
