1999 Ford Ranger dome light and door ajar light

My door ajar light comes on and makes my dome light stay on. Sometimes the dome light will go off when I get out of the truck. Other times it won't. Sometimes the door ajar light stays on when I am driving and other times it goes off. What is wrong?

I use to have the same problem, what you should do is spray some wd40 in the two holes underneath the outside door hinge. And it should go away.
