I have a 1992 Ford ranger 2.9L v-6 4x4 automatic. Ive put a full tune up plugs, wires, cap, rotor button, and fuel filter on this and it still runs like its clogged up or something.

At idle 9 times out of 10 it runs fine but as soon as I give it fuel it idles up but in a bogged down way. If I hold it at any certain rpm in park the bog stops and it runs smooth. But as soon as I let off and hit the gas again it bogs back down. What could be the source of this?

It does have a bad exhaust leak but ive never experianced this kinda problem from an exhaust leak. Any help would be much appreciated.

A clogged cat converter will do this. See if you can feel any exhaust coming out of the tail pipe or if the cat is hot enough to glow red.
