My 1988 Ford Bronco 2 has a 2.9L V6. I busted a hole in the muffler almost 2 years ago and ripped it off cuz it was just rattling around. I have gone without a muffler for over a year now. My Cat. Is now getting a TON of back pressure and blocking up and I can only go a sad little 35mph. I am going to remove it and run strait piping to Flowmaster, and then dump the exhaust right after the muffler. The muffler itself will end about 16" in front of the passenger rear wheel on the inside of the frame. Will it run okay? Will it burn up like my Cat.? Will it sound okay? I am not sure.
