Need help how to replace a vacuum modulator on a a4ld

Hi I have a question about how to change a vacuum modulator on a 1994 Ford ranger with a 4.0 and a a4ld 2wd my vacuum modulator leaking transmission fluid and fluid comes out the line is there anyway to change it because the catalytic converter is in the way please help

It is tight. The shield has to be removed to gain acess to the attaching bolt. Be carefull not to drop the little rod behind the modulator.

To ASEMaster6371 I notice there is no heat shield on mine is any easy way to removed the bolt to remove the vacuum modulator

No easy way. It is tight as I said. You need small fingers to get in there.

The other way is to remove the cat converter but it is time consuming and on a vehicle that old, you may encounter issues with rusted bolts.
