Problems with the clutch

I was wondering if it is normal for the clutch pedal to feel rough when you push down on it and release it. It feels as if its rolling on a gear of some sort, but to my understanding there is no gear in the pedal. I've driven a manual camaro and a manual honda and I've never felt a clutch like this.
I just bought the car in November and there were no problems.
Is this a big deal? Or is there any way I can just lube up the pedal so it feels smoother?

Another question.
When I don't warm up the car for at least 15 minutes it's really jumpy (hicups) when I first start to drive. I can gas it all I want but it takes a second or two to actually get up and go.

Do you have any suggestions on what may possibly be the problem?

If your clutch feels hard you need to replace it. And 2nd. Let your car warm up at least 20 mints. Before taking off. It's a mustang they are americas car. Be gentle with them ha ha.
