I was told that my computer on my car needs to be replace. Do you know who much that is going to cost. My car wont start at all. They also mentioned they may need to replace and/or reprogram the key to my car. Is this accurate?

A new ECU for your car goes for around $385. The price can vary. That was just a quick pricing on one. You could get one cheap at a junk yard if you want to chance it but like always new is the safest way to go. Just shop around online and see what you come up with. As far as the key. Yes you need to get a new key that is programmed to the new ECU. That could cost extra. Best bet would be to call your local Ford dealer and see how much it would be. Hope this helps you out some.
