2001 Ford Mustang noisy takeoff

Recently my mustang has been making a loud rough noise. When im at a stop on a fairly steep road I shift into first gear and take off and while im taking off I hear a rough noise that to me it seems like its coming from my clutch of gear box I would like to know what seems to make that noise ( it only does it when ive been driving around for a while)

Hi:
First make sure the trans is full. Next, is the clutch slipping? It could be many things with the clutch. Can you describe the sound and if there is a hopping or jerking when you pull out?
