1994 Ford Mustang help please;

My engine light came on and I tried tighting the gas cap and that didn't work. What else could it be that's not going to cost alot of money. This has happened before and all it was was something fell behind my censor light(piece of plastic).

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on.
