2.3 conv. 5 spd. My mustang started dying randomly with no warning while I drive. It would not restart. I read the engine codes but it said all was ok. I had it towed and the mechanic played with some wires and got it running. It died again and I put in a new coil pack and it started. Next day it died again. I put an ignition control module in it and to no avail. I had it towed again and the guy tried it a coulpe of days later and it started. He's had it for about a month now and it won't die for him. I would like to get rid of it but I want it fully running. Within the last year I put in a new gas tank with pump and sending unit. Would the main ECM be bad and send no code? I just don't know where to go from here.

The best time to catch the problem is while its on the act- Look for spark and fuel one of this is gonna be missing or could be both. Something has to give here-

Might want to check for code/s even if the light is not On.
