Stalling

It started happening last winter.I would start the car and it would run a minute and then stall. But it woudn't do it every day. Now it's every day.I changed the idle air control, spark plugs, pcv vavle and today the battery. One other thing is when the car is off and I turn the headlights on the temp. Guage goes all the way to the top. With the car running and lights on the temp. Guage reads were it should be when the fan turns on it works right also. Can someone please help with this problem.
