Hello, the horn fuse is in the power distribution center in slot number #5

Here is a diagram and a guide to help you see how to test for power.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-a-car-fuse

Check out the horn wiring and fuse panel diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Cheers, Ken

Hello,

The horn relay is located under the hood in the PDC. Here is a guide to show you how to test the relay with a diagram (below) of the location in the PDC and the wiring diagram for the horn circuit:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-an-electrical-relay-and-wiring-control-circuit

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken

It seems the horn and windshield washer fluid are connected somehow. When the horn don't work the washer fluid does not work and visa-versa. Also the airbag light on the dash flashes. Sometimes they will work and sometimes they wont.

Napa carries the clockspring for around $60.00, just replaced mine. My windsheild was still doesn't work, or my delay wipers. Also replaced the relay for the washer to see if that was the problem. Still doesnt wash, but everything else (cruise, horn, airbag) is working fine.

Mechanic also told me clockspring could be culprit. Ya, I went down to Napa, but the part was out of stock. I wish it was but, I am starting to think that the washer fluid motor is on a separate circuit.

I have checked the fuses. My horn will not blow.I took the cover off the steering wheel to check the wires, and look for anything out of place. Where is the horn located under the hood?I can not locate the horn.

For your no horn problem I would first check the horn button on the steering wheel, try to manually operate it, DONT USE THE AIR BAG WIRES!

The horn should be located on the front of the grille, sometimes one is hidden by the battery in the front of it.

I have a 1993 E150 4.9L and the horn won't work. It has almost 200k. I am thinking about changing the whole steering column, but is there anything else I should check before doing this?

Check the power to the horn first. Make sure there is power going to the horn. If not, then remove the horn button and make sure the connectors are intact and you have a good ground. Let me know

On a 93 Explorer, there are 2 options. Being a 93 Ford, it might be the same. There are no Guarantees.
If the truck has speed control, then there is a horn relay. It looks like it is under the dash near the steering column.
If it dosen't have speed control, it is only the switch in the steering column.
In my explorer book, it goes from fuse #8 to either the relay or switch, and then to the horns.
Try to run a jumper from the hot (+) terminal of the battery to the horn to make sure the horn actually works.

Just realized one more thing.
Check the fuse box under the hood. In my explorer, the power for the horn and several other devices routes first through the power distribution box under the hood.

My Cruise control and my horn quit working. I tried replaceing the horns with aftermarket air horns, but can't seem to get them to work with the factory button. My cruise control doesn't work either. I have been hearing it could be in the steering wheel. Is there a way to check that?

The power distribution box I mentioned has both fuses and relays. Look in your owners manual.

DOES this truck have an air bag. If so DO NOT back prob any wires with power unless you disconnect it. If it does have an air bag it is possible you have a bad clock spring. Doese truck have cruse and all that at the steering wheel?
