I have a 1986 ford f150 with 146000 miles on it. It has a strait 6 motor in it. I have changed the water pump, new thermostat, flushed system, and bypassed the heater core and it still overheats.

What condition is the fan? Is it a clutch fan? If so try changing the clutch.

Are you sure you haven't air locked the engine? Leave the radiator cap off and run it for 15-20 minutes watching the level of coolant, if it drops you didn't have enough coolant in the engine.

Easier also would be to loosen the inlet to the water pump and with a screwdriver lift it up a little bit and watch to see if coolant comes out.
