Hey I bought a pickup about a year ago and I pretty much rebuilt the the truck, I put new parts on it. I leaft in texas for 6 months and it has been drivin a little but not enough I dont think. My friend said it would start some times and when it did it would over heat. Its been in the shop now for about 3 months and they cant figure out what is wrong with it so I thought I would see if you guys could maybe tell me a reason why it wont work as it would when I had it to drive.

So is it getting fuel? What is the fuel pressure? Does it have spark? Get back to me with the answers and I will try to help the best I can.

Um. Yes it gets fuel, but it will die when it gets hot and I have to wait till it cools down to start it, I dont know what the fuel pressure is. It has spark. So I dont know what its problem is. Could it be the AGR valve? Or sensor? Thanks for the help!

Ok when it dies does it have spark at that time? If not then we need to look at the distributor module and coil so you will need a digital multi meter to do a couple of tests. Get back to me with what you find.
