1978 F-250 Starts, runs a second or two, then quits

My Ford F250 351 V8 with about 150,000 miles on it starts up, then it runs for a few seconds, then quits - like it is starving for gas. I checked the fuel bowl and it is filled normally. I also changed the fuel pump and fuel hoses to the fuel pump and carb. Any suggestions?

Humm, it soulds like you may have a bad ignition. The symptoms fit with very low spark

The problem was ignition - a plug to the ignition module had started to disintigrate and was losing contact. Some tape fixed the problem. Thank you
