Truck wont start after changing the rear fuel pump. Any ideas?

Had to change the rear fuel pump because the old was bad, so the truck was having trouble starting and staying started. Mechanics told me I had to change the pump. I changed it and truck wont start.

Check your switching valve, it may not be switching tanks like it should. I am assuming you have two tanks. Also check your fuel pressure. Is this a gas or diesel engine in this.

Yes I have two tanks, but only the rear tank has ever worked. Its going to be gas not diesel. I'm not very car savvy I just know the basics. Where is it that I check for fuel pressure

Onthe fuel rail there should be a connection on it to hook up a gauge. If it'as a 4.9L it should be 50-60 and allothers except diesel35-45 psi.

If it's bad then recheck your fp installation and whether the pupmp is getting power or not.
